2016 Cumbria Tourism Award

Threlkeld Coffee Shop has triumphed over stiff opposition from all over Cumbria to win the 2016 Cumbria Tourism Award for a new tourism business. The awards were announced at a special gala evening at Cartmel Racecourse, attended by about 350 people, hosted by Mancunian radio presenter and comedian Justin Moorhouse. The special plaque was presented by its designer, Ulverston-based metal sculptor Chris Brammall. It is now on permanent display above the counter in the Coffee Shop.
