North Lakes Brass
Brass Band concert with North Lakes Brass based in Keswick. They will be playing a selection of entertaining pieces, including well-known marches, popular music and classics and some soloists. Formed only in 2021 the band has many experienced Cumbrian musicians and has already achieved competition success. Tickets £10 (£5 under 18)
Formed in 2021 as the national pandemic was slowly declining, the new North Lakes Brass band meets the needs of experienced Cumbrian musicians who wish to enjoy the challenges of performing in contests and high quality concerts. After the North of England Brass Band Championships held March 2022 where the band was placed a magnificent 2nd they were invited to compete in the National Brass Band Championship of Great Britain, where they were described as “…delivering performances of note that captured both the lyrical and pop-beat nature of the music to a tee, with super contributions from their percussion team." They also came third at the Kirkby Lonsdale Entertainment Contest.
