With Your Time
If you live locally you can support us best by volunteering some of your time to help the voluntary organisations that keep the village hall going and activities within it. Please see the About Us page, but in a nut-shell there are 4 organisations:
- The Village Hall Trust which looks after the overall running and maintenance of the hall. Volunteers are often needed on the committee or you can help with easy maintenance issues if you have some practical abilities.
- Threlkeld Events which organises a programme of music, drama and talks. Volunteers can help run events, such as operating a Box Office, selling ice creams or serving at the bar.
- Threlkeld Young People which is an umbrella organisation for activities aimed at young people such as the Youth Club or Threlkeld Brownies
- The Coffee Shop. This is run as a commercial business but the Board of Directors are all volunteers
If you are interested in any of these organisations please contact us.

Easyfundraising for the Village Hall
An easy way to raise money for Threlkeld Village Hall and Threlkeld Activities Association.
Buy online using: easyfundraising.org.uk/tvhrf
Easyfundraising is a shopping directory listing masses of online retailers and stores, including top names such as Argos, Next, Debenhams, John Lewis, Toys R Us, HMV and over 2000 others.
If you want to buy anything on line – holidays, flowers, furniture, food, wine, books, DVDs, computers, clothes etc – then instead of logging onto a site directly, do it via easyfundraising.org.uk/tvhrf and once you have made a purchase, the Village Hall automatically gets credited with a percentage of what you spend – the percentage varies, usually 1%-5%, but occasionally as much as 15% (also in some cases there is a fixed contribution). The amounts may be small but they can soon add up to a significant sum – every little helps.
The donation we receive costs you nothing at all – the retailers sign up to this scheme because it saves costs by encouraging online sales. In fact you can even SAVE MONEY as many retailers offer discounts, special offers and even “e-vouchers” exclusive to easy fundraising.
